Multi-award-winning Canadian-born, New Zealand singer-songwriter Tami Neilson needs no introduction. Having become one of NZ’s most beloved artists of the modern era, blending country, soul and rockabilly into her signature high-octane performances, Neilson’s songs have tugged at our heart-strings and soothed our souls.
Accompanied by her brother and long-time co-writer/collaborator Jay Neilson, the Big Boss Mama will bring her extensive songbook to Tauranga Moana. In a rare, up-close and personal show, fans can experience the songs acoustically, as they were written.
Growing up on the road as two-fifths of Canadian country group The Neilsons, Tami and Jay were supporting the likes of Johnny Cash from a very young age. With a wealth of stories from the road, the pair are set to bring some smiles, laughter and tears as they tell the tales behind some of Tami’s biggest songs, as well as exclusively premiering songs from Tami’s upcoming new album.
One show only in the Carrus Crystal Palace, Monday 28 October at 3pm (Labour Day).
