Love Letters
Come and hear the love letters to a book or an author that has helped make our panellists who they are today. Without the strong independent publishing sector we have in NZ many of these amazing authors may not be having the careers they are. Nikki Crutchley self-publishes her acclaimed crime novels; novelist Brannavan Gnanalingam is part of Wellington publishing collective Lawrence and Gibson; Tauranga librarian Debbie McCauley is founder of Mauao Publishing, focusing on quality children’s books; the most recent book by business commentator Rod Oram was published as a BWB Text; Kathryn Lellman, a partner in HJL, a member of the Business Women’s Network, and Tauranga Arts Festival chair; Dr Andrew Corin has self-published an award-winning collection of short stories based on his work as a Tauranga GP.
