Our Escape festival programme will soon be launched and it’s hard to contain ourselves.

Keep Friday August 30 in mind as that’s when we will be revealing our boutique festival’s hugely exciting programme. There is so much goodness that we can’t wait to share with you, our valued supporters of this biennial literary festival.

What to expect? Rest assured our lineup incorporates a variety of events to appeal from literary talks and panel discussions to workshops and live performances, all curated by our celebrated Literary Programmer Gabrielle Vincent.

There’s nothing wrong with dropping a wee hint or two ahead of time is there?

What we can tell you is, Escape will include a hot favourite that has recently been touring China and the UK; and it features local celebrities and those from further afield. Back by popular demand, Escape will again be dishing up morning tea … with a national treasure joining us for this sumptuous offering.

We can boast some tried and true as well as new. Our programme includes an international concept proven to be truly successful, as well as something exciting and new to the NZ festival circuit - there’s little wonder Escape is affectionately dubbed “the little festival with the big ideas”.
