Peter Gordon wrote his first cookbook when he was 4 – his latest, Savour (published in May) has been described as a “thing of great beauty”.

Reowned for his flavour innovations, the Whanganui-born chef has two restaurants in London and two in Auckland and writes and broadcasts about food around the world, and is a consultant to Air NZ. Peter, who donated bone marrow to his sister in 1995, has raised more than £5 million for leukaemia research in the UK and is now doing the same in New Zealand.
