LADY RIZO
Tauranga Arts Festival and Baycourt are delighted to present, live from New York, Lady Rizo's show - Indigo Child on Wednesday 5 April.

Indigo Child unpacks Lady Rizo's love-hate affair with America, an intimate show about love and sex, backed by a trio led by Yair Evnine. A luscious voice likened to a mix of Peggy Lee, Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, her show revives the cabaret genre with old school diva imagery, irrefutable glamour and piercing wit. Be seduced by New York's finest chanteuse superstar on Wednesday 5 April in the Addison theatre.

"SENSATIONAL.... A fierce but kindhearted fusion of comedy, burlesque, performance art and rock 'n' roll - The New York Times

"kooky, sexy, brilliant" - The Scotsman

ANZAC EVE
ANZAC Eve, an intergenerational story of ANZAC Day coming to Tauranga on 10 April at 7pm at Baycourt Theatre. Four young travelers meet at Gallipoli the night before the Anzac ceremonies. The two Kiwi guys and two Australian girls soon progress from typical cross-Tasman bickering to discussing why they have made the journey. Prejudices are aired, myths bust, and parallels drawn between then and now.

Directed by Jamie McCaskill and written by Dave Armstrong, Anzac Eve is highly entertaining and takes an honest and unflinching look at the ANZAC experience. This fresh and contemporary take on a significant time in our nation's history, is a must-see for every New Zealander.
